Job Summary:

The Engineering Design Head will lead and manage the design team, ensuring the successful development and execution of engineering design projects. This role involves overseeing all aspects of engineering design, including conceptualization, development, prototyping, testing, and production. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, a deep understanding of engineering principles, and a proven track record of managing high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership & Team Management:
   
• Lead and mentor the engineering design team to deliver high-quality designs within project timelines.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment to encourage team development.
• Manage design staff, provide guidance, conduct performance reviews, and identify training needs.
2. Design Strategy & Execution:
   
• Develop and implement engineering design strategies to align with business objectives and customer needs.
• Oversee the conceptualization and development of product designs and technical solutions.
• Ensure designs meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
3. Project Management:
   
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Production, QA) to ensure smooth project execution.
• Ensure that design projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required specifications.
• Monitor and manage design project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
4. Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
   
• Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and design methodologies.
• Drive the implementation of innovative design solutions and optimize existing products.
• Ensure continuous improvement in design processes to increase efficiency and quality.
5. Client and Stakeholder Interaction:
   
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand requirements and provide design solutions that meet their needs.
• Present design concepts, prototypes, and final designs to clients and senior management.
6. Quality Control & Documentation:
   
• Ensure that all design documents, drawings, and specifications are accurate and compliant with industry standards.
• Oversee the design validation process, ensuring products meet performance and durability standards.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, etc.) or a related field.
• Proven experience (7 years) in engineering design and management, preferably in [specific industry, e.g., manufacturing, etc.].
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• Proficient in design software tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of design and engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and industry-specific certifications (ISO, ASME, etc.) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification.
• Experience in [specific type of engineering design or technology relevant to your company].

Work Environment:

• This position will be based at the company's headquarters, with some travel required for site visits or client meetings.
• The role may involve both office and hands-on design work
