Network Security Engineer

BT Group is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Security Engineer to join our dynamic team in Gurugram. In this operational role, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our networks by implementing and managing security controls.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, implement, and maintain network security solutions using Zscaler, Cisco Firewalls, and Cisco ISE.

- Manage deployment and configuration of Firewall Management Center (FMC) and/or Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) solutions.

- Perform security assessments, audits, and vulnerability management to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

- Provide 24/7 operational support for network security infrastructure, responding to security incidents and alerts in a timely manner.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design secure network architectures and solutions.

- Conduct troubleshooting of security incidents and provide effective responses to emerging threats.

- Stay updated on the latest security trends, threats, and technologies to continuously improve security practices and tools.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Strong experience with Zscaler security solutions.

- Proficiency in managing and configuring Cisco Firewalls.

- Extensive knowledge of Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).

- Familiarity with either Firewall Management Center (FMC) or Firepower Threat Defense (FTD).

- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA Security, CCNP Security, Zscaler Certification) are highly desirable.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

- Effective communication skills for liaising with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- Prior experience in a security operations center (SOC) environment.

- Knowledge of network protocols and security principles.
