F5 L3 Engineer - LTM, GTM & ASM

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced F5 L3 Engineer with expertise in any combination of LTM (Local Traffic Manager), GTM (Global Traffic Manager), and ASM (Application Security Manager). The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining F5 solutions to optimize application performance and security. This role requires in-depth knowledge of traffic management and security best practices to ensure seamless operations for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Deployment: Architect and implement F5 services, including LTM, GTM, and ASM based on client requirements and best practices.
• Troubleshooting: Provide Level 3 support for F5-related incidents and escalate issues when necessary. Conduct thorough diagnostics and resolution of system performance issues.
• Configuration Management: Manage F5 configurations, perform regular reviews, and implement changes to optimize traffic management and security.
• Monitoring and Optimization: Utilize monitoring tools to analyze traffic patterns and application performance. Make recommendations for performance tuning.
• Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, configuration guides, and operational procedures.
• Security Best Practices: Implement and maintain security policies and measures using ASM to protect applications from security threats and vulnerabilities.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, security teams, and application developers, to support and enhance overall system performance.
• Training and Support: Provide mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience with F5 technologies, specifically with LTM, GTM, and/or ASM.
• Certifications: Relevant F5 certifications (e.g., F5 Certified Technical Specialist, F5 Certified Solution Expert) are a plus.
• Skills:
• Proficient in F5 BIG-IP administration and configuration, including ASM policies, LTM profiles, and GTM configurations.
• Strong understanding of application delivery, load balancing methodologies, and network protocols (HTTP, SSL, TCP).
• Experience with security practices related to application deployments.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work in a team-oriented environment, and strong communication skills.
