F5 Load Balancer - Level 3 Engineer ( Immediate - 30days)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced F5 Load Balancer L3 Engineer to manage, maintain, and optimize network load balancing infrastructure. This role is crucial to ensure high availability, performance, and security of applications delivered through F5 technologies. As an L3 engineer, you will work on complex troubleshooting, configuration, and implementation tasks, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

Responsibilities:

F5 Load Balancer Administration:

o Implementation and manage F5 load balancers (LTM, GTM, ASM, APM modules).

o Develop and implement F5 profiles, rules and policies to meet business requirements.

o Maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot F5 infrastructure to ensure uptime and reliability.

o Continuously monitor load balancer performance and ensure optimal traffic distribution.

o Analyze logs and performance data to proactively identify and resolve issues.

o Implement health checks and failover strategies to ensure high availability of applications.

Troubleshooting:

o Serve as the Level 3 (L3) escalation point for resolving complex network and application-related issues.

o Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity, traffic flow, and application performance issues involving F5 products.

Collaboration:

o Work closely with network engineers, security teams, and application teams to ensure alignment on load balancing requirements.

o Collaborate on security compliance audits and assessments related to load balancing and traffic management.

Security:

o Implement security measures such as SSL offloading, web application firewalls (WAF), and DDoS protection on F5 devices.

o Stay updated on the latest security threats and ensure configurations are optimized to mitigate risks.

Documentation:

o Create and maintain documentation for F5 configurations, processes, and network architecture.

o Provide technical training and knowledge transfer to junior engineers or team members.

Automation & Optimization:

o Automate routine tasks using F5 iControl REST API and scripting languages such as Python or Bash.

o Propose improvements and optimization strategies for load balancing services.

Requirements:

Education:

o Bachelor s degree in computer engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience:

o 6+ years of hands-on experience with F5 load balancers (BIG-IP LTM, GTM, ASM, APM).

o Proven expertise in designing and implementing advanced load balancing solutions.

o Experience with networking protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL, DNS, and related technologies.

Skills:

o Proficiency in writing and debugging F5 iRules.

o Strong understanding of application traffic flows and troubleshooting techniques.

o Knowledge of network security principles, SSL certificates, and encryption methodologies.

o Hands-on experience with automation and scripting tools (e.g., Python, Bash).

o Familiarity with other load balancers, firewalls, and web proxies is a plus.

o Familiarity with cloud-based load balancing solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP).

o Experience with DevOps tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Jenkins for infrastructure automation.

Soft Skills:

o Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

o Strong communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

o Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently or collaboratively.

Certifications:

o F5 Certified BIG-IP Administrator (F5-CA) or higher certification is preferred.

o CCNA/CCNP or other relevant network certifications are good to have.
