Job Description
The Division Head will be responsible for driving the growth and profitability of the Furniture,
Carpet & Allied Products division. This role involves strategic planning, team leadership,
business development, and customer relationship management.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive business plans to achieve
division goals and objectives.
Team Leadership: Build, lead, and motivate a high-performing sales team.
Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, focusing on
commercial projects.
Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with
architects, builders, contractors, and interior designers.
Project Sales and Specifications: Lead the sales team in Specifications and securing
projects, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely project execution.
Product Knowledge: Stay updated on the latest trends and product innovations in the
furniture, carpet, and allied products industry.
Financial Performance: Monitor and analyze financial performance, including revenue,
cost, and profitability.
Team Management: Recruit, train, and develop the sales team to achieve optimal
performance.
Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends and
opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in project sales within the building materials
industry, with a strong focus on commercial spaces.
Proven track record of success in achieving sales targets and building strong client
relationships.
Deep understanding of the commercial interiors market, including knowledge of
architectural specifications and project timelines.
Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CRM software.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in the corporate furniture industry.
Strong network of contacts within the architects and contractors.
Experience in managing mid size and large-scale projects.
