IT Monitoring Tool Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Configure, deploy, and manage monitoring tools such as SCOM, WhatsUp Gold, MCD (Brose specific)
• Manage effectively BAU as well project activities for the Monitoring tools.
• Work closely with IT teams to implement optimizations and enhance overall system performance.
• Analyze monitoring data to identify performance bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
• Knowledge of other tools like Grafana, Splunk, Nagios etc. will be an added advantage.
• Develop and maintain monitoring dashboards, alerts, and reports to provide real-time insights into the health and performance of our systems.
• Develop and maintain incident response procedures for monitoring tool related incidents.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for monitoring tools configurations, processes, and best practices.
• Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions to empower team members with monitoring tool expertise.

Preferred candidate profile

Proven experience as a Monitoring Tools specialist.

In-depth knowledge of IT monitoring architecture and tools.

Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and system administration.

Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.

Understanding application architecture, cloud/on-premises hybrid systems

Background in Python scripting languages

Understanding of Linux Operating System and bash scripting

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Effective communication and collaboration skills.
