Brookfield s private equity group is seeking a motivated and organized individual to play an integral role in the Investor Relations team. This individual will be responsible for providing day-to-day support for investor relations coverage of all the private equity funds and strategies. The individual will collaborate with other internal teams as well as with colleagues across other Brookfield platforms to ensure a high-quality investor experience. The successful candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong financial mindset who can adapt to a fast-paced environment, offer innovative solutions, and has strong verbal and written communication skills. The role will report to the Vice President, Investor Relations (Toronto)
Responsibilities
Take a lead role in managing inquiries from existing and prospective private fund investors as it relates to financial information, portfolio company updates, Request for Information ( RFI s ) and adhoc requests
Manage the private equity investor inquiries inbox by ensuring all requests are appropriately accounted for and responded to in a timely manner
Assist with the planning of recurring and adhoc investor meetings and all related materials
Assist in the preparation of key deliverables for senior management including investor communications, quarterly fund webcasts and investment updates
Effectively articulate Brookfield s private equity strategy to stakeholders, including describing new transaction activity as well as ongoing portfolio updates
Participate in fundraising activities for the private equity group and assist in preparing key deliverables as required
Execute on strategic initiatives within the Investor Relations group
Work with peers in other Brookfield platforms to identify best practices to ensure quality and consistency of IR materials
Qualifications & Requirements
Undergraduate degree in business, accounting or finance
CPA and/or CFA designation preferred
6+ years of experience in any of the following disciplines: capital markets, investment banking, accounting, equity research, corporate development, investor relations, transaction services
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
A working understanding of financial reporting and valuation models; knowledge of private equity investment structures is preferred
Experience with Salesforce and FISDX (Sungard) is preferred
Strong written and oral communication skills with a particular strength in dealing with a wide variety of individuals at various levels within and outside of the organization
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, global environment with demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize competing tasks and demands under tight deadlines
Analytic and strategic thinker with the ability to assess complex situations and make effective recommendations
Excellent organizational skills with high level of attention to detail
Team player with positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
