Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead team in implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum which reflects observations and assessments of individual children and goals jointly developed with families.
• Ensure staff design environments that respond to childrens individual developmental levels, physical and emotional needs and current interests by consulting appropriate Bright Horizons resources
• Serve as a resource for staff to help them engage and communicate constructively with individual children during activities and routines: taking every opportunity to positively extend childrens thinking and learning.
• Developing the plan, including short, long, individual and groups plans and oversee the implementation of activities in relation to the program
• Lead and model positive discipline techniques in guiding childrens behaviour according to Bright Horizons Guidelines for Positive Discipline
• Lead and manage the team in supporting children with the Special Educational Needs
• Support professional development within your team at all levels, ensuring our people are inspired and motivated, leading to increased passion for their work

Preferred candidate profile

• Basic level Teacher training, Montessori included, or equivalent Early Years qualification
• Degree level qualification
• Thorough understanding of Child Protection and Health and Safety best practice
• Strong proven knowledge and background in Early Years Care and Education
• Committed to developing high performing teams
• Holds an ethos for wellbeing, ensuring staff manage an effective work life balance
• Creative and innovative thinker
