Job Summary

We are seeking a Technical Manager/Technical Lead with 8-12 years of experience to lead our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Java, AngularJS, Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices, and REST APIs. As a Technical Manager/Lead, you will oversee the design and implementation of complex software solutions, enforce engineering best practices, mentor team members, and ensure efficient and high-quality project delivery.

Our organization prioritizes learning, and we value candidates with a passion for exploring new patterns, technologies, and practices that drive innovation. Certifications, blogs, or books are appreciated but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of software solutions, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Foster the adoption of proper software engineering practices.
• Make key architectural decisions and provide technical direction for microservices and enterprise-level applications.
• Ensure long-term sustainability, quality, performance, and security of platforms under development.

Team Management and Mentorship

• Manage and mentor a team of developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
• Conduct regular code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and support the career growth of team members.
• Organize and manage tasks to meet project timelines and deliverables effectively.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, QA, DevOps) for successful project delivery.

Solution Architecture

• Design and architect scalable, robust, and efficient backend services and front-end applications.
• Build microservices architectures with scalability and fault tolerance in mind.
• Define the technical roadmap and align it with business objectives.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with product managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Simplify and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Learning and Innovation

• Stay updated on the latest technology trends and recommend improvements to development processes.
• Achieve certifications and bring innovative technologies/patterns to transform workflows.
• Be the go-to expert for solving tough challenges while upskilling the team.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Backend: Java (Core Java, Java 8+), Spring Framework (Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring Data).
• Frontend: AngularJS (strong development skills).
• Architecture: Microservices design and REST API development.
• Databases: SQL/NoSQL databases and caching strategies.
• DevOps: Containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines.
• Version Control: Git, Maven, Gradle.

Soft Skills

• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven mentoring and coaching experience for junior and mid-level developers.
• Problem-solving mindset with excellent organizational skills.

Experience

• 8-12 years in software development, with 3+ years in technical leadership roles.
• Track record of delivering high-quality enterprise-level applications.
• Proficiency with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Hands-on experience managing development teams and end-to-end project delivery.

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience building and deploying CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of additional front-end technologies (React, Vue.js) is a plus.
• Familiarity with test automation and TDD/BDD practices.
