Production Accountant / Bidding Producer

BOT VFX, a post-production services company with global clients, is looking for a Production Accountant on a permanent role basis. The position is based out of Chennai, India.

The Production Accountant plays an essential role in leading and managing the nancial aspects of numerous shows (projects), including bid development, change order management, and invoicing, among other key activities. The Production Accountant works closely with numerous parts of the organization, especially Producers, Executive Producers, Line Producers, VFX Supervisors, Production Managers, and Production Coordinators and Accounting.
The role is central to the preparation of nancial bids to clients in close coordination with the Executive Producer and the show s internal core team. The candidate must have a reasonably strong understanding of VFX bidding process, and standard practices in the industry. The candidate must also exercise strong business judgment and be adept at managing complex billing details.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare nancial bids in close collaboration with the VFX/DFX Supervisor and Line Producer to obtain resource requirements.
Coordinate show billing with the Accounting department and manage client POs
Coordinate scope changes and associated nancials including Change Orders
Prepare weekly billing reports per show

REQUIRED SKILLS

Strong knowledge of VFX and/or animation bidding process, including an understanding of standard practices, pricing ranges and cost allocation methods
Strong business acumen to manage the nancial risk of execution
Strong communication skills verbally and in written form
Strong process discipline and understanding of key software tools
