The role of a VFX Supervisor onset is crucial in ensuring the seamless integration of visual effects into live-action footage.

Job Title: VFX Supervisor (OnSet)

Collaborate with the director, cinematographer, and other department heads to plan and execute visual effects shots.
Provide expertise on all aspects of visual effects, including planning, shooting, and post-production.
Supervise the on-set acquisition of visual effects elements, ensuring they match the requirements of the VFX team.
Monitor and direct the filming of elements necessary for visual effects, such as green screen shots, tracking markers, and practical effects.
Work closely with the camera and lighting departments to ensure proper setup and execution of visual effects shots.
Communicate with the VFX team to provide guidance and ensure the seamless integration of visual effects into the final shots.
Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the filming of visual effects elements and provide creative solutions.
Maintain a thorough understanding of the projects visual effects requirements and ensure they are met during production
Requirements
- Extensive experience in visual effects, with a strong understanding of VFX techniques, workflows, and tools.
- Proven track record of working as a VFX Supervisor.
- In-depth knowledge of on-set production processes and requirements for visual effects.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to overcome challenges.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements and timelines during production.
  
  Optional:
  
  Previous experience working on projects with complex visual effects requirements, such as large-scale action sequences or creature animation.
  
  A background in cinematography or a related field may be beneficial but is not always required.
