Job Description
- Perform a light amount of HR responsibilities as the first line manager for team members
- Establish goals and expectations for team members that align with company policies and standards
- Coach and mentor team members to help identify and achieve career growth opportunities
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to establish a team chartaer with achievable goals and strategy that align with the company objectives
- Plan, prioritize, and coordinate development activities and delivery of customer value with other business functions including Support, Customer Success, and Product.
- Monitor progress, identify challenges, and recommend adjustments to the plan based on actionable engineering metrics
- Foster an environment that enables the team to thrive and achieve results while maintaining a healthy work-life balance
- Be accountable for outcomes and culture of the team
- Possess a basic understanding of the architectural and technical foundations of your area of ownership
- Advocate to maintain and advance Technical Excellence, e.g. Observability, Scalability, and Stability
- Experience mentoring team members in their professional growth
- Experience with agile and lean development practices, metrics driven governance
- Experience with Service management, SRE principles and DevOps principles as core deliverables
- Experience in maintaining large scale software systems in production
- Experience with security complaince, Observability and Incident Management process
- Familiarity with managing highly scalable production environment
- Written and verbal communication skills, including one on ones with team members, and asynchronous communication with other teams.
Desirable Requirements - 7+ years experience in software developement/operations
- 3+ years experience in people leadership
- Basic understanding of integration services
- Experience in event-driven and micro services architectures
