IT ESB Lead

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Implementation:
  
• Lead the design and implementation of ESB solutions to facilitate integration across multiple systems and applications.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, and business analysts to define integration requirements and develop technical specifications.
• Middleware Development:
  
• Oversee the development and deployment of middleware solutions, ensuring they meet performance, security, and scalability standards.
• Implement best practices for middleware development and integration, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and methodologies.
• Performance Monitoring:
  
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize ESB performance, addressing any issues related to integration and data flow.
• Prepare and present reports on integration project status, performance metrics, and improvement initiatives to stakeholders.
• Team Leadership and Mentorship:
  
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Industry Trends:
  
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to middleware and integration, evaluating their potential application within the organization.
• Collaboration:
  
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure smooth operations and integration of services across the enterprise architecture.

Desired candidate profile:

• 5+ years of experience in middleware technologies, with a strong focus on Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) solutions (e.g., MuleSoft, Apache Camel, IBM Integration Bus, Oracle SOA).
• Proven experience in designing and implementing integration solutions for enterprise applications.
• Strong understanding of integration patterns, data formats (XML, JSON), and protocols (REST, SOAP).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or similar languages used for middleware development.
• Experience with cloud-based middleware solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and with stakeholders at all levels.
• Preferred Skills:
• Experience with API management and service-oriented architecture (SOA).
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools for middleware applications (e.g., Splunk, ELK Stack).
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
