Job Description
- Define and maintain service levels for data operations team
- Ensure data quality exceptions for in-scope data domains are identified and workflow to remediate data quality issues are resolved (in line with pre-agreed service level targets)
- Recommend changes to address recurring data quality issues using metrics and evidence-based data points.
- Utilise automated and/or digital workflow solutions to efficiently scale-up services and minimise the use of manual or labour-intensive processes
- Work in partnership with data stewards to ensure that queries are investigated to their root cause taking into consideration multiple data domains.
- Partner with data stewards to identify and address long-running data queries and take these to completion with internal and external data producers.
- Proactive monitoring of data thresholds as per policy and communicating issues across the business in a timely manner
- Manage expectations of wide range of stakeholders (from IT to Operations to Front Office) and give clear guidance as to progress
- Ensure core data service documents align with data quality service levels
- Monitoring the effectiveness of controls and reporting on them to management / Domain Owners via KPIs and other tools.
- Define business requirements to IT, engaging with IT BAs on design and to test applications needed to support data operations.
To be successful in this role, we re seeking the following:
- 3- 5 years of operational data management experience, ideally from an asset management or asset servicing business.
- Knowledge of SQL with intermediate querying skills (for investigation not for development)
- Familiarity with data engineering techniques
- Excellent organisational, prioritisation and communication skills (both written and oral) required.
- Experience using Jira, confluence, Advanced excel and PowerPoint (for management reporting)
- Familiarity with Data Governance and Metadata tools like Collibra is desirable
