Job Description
As the WRA Executive in Wind energy projects, you ll be a vital member of the Engineering Services team based in India. Your main focus will be providing Wind Resource Assessment and Wind Plant design related support throughout the developmental and construction phases of our renewable energy projects across the portfolio.
Responsibility:
- Identification of Wind Potential Sites.
- Monitoring of wind mast installation and maintenance.
- Wind data monitoring, quality control and analysis.
- Development of wind monitoring campaign.
- Wind farm design, layout optimisation, energy prognosis and uncertainty analysis using wind flow software s like WAsP, WindPRO, and Openwind.
- Conduct site visits whenever required.
- Review and liaison with vendors and consultants for meteorological mast installation, energy yield due diligence and power curve verification test.
- Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements related to wind energy.
- Perform other responsibilities as necessary to support the successful completion of projects.
Functional skills & Job knowledge/experience
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering/ Atmospheric/Science/Meteorology from a recognized college/university.
- 2-4 years experience with WRA and Wind Power Plants design
- Knowledge of wind energy principles, including wind turbine design, aerodynamics, and power generation
- Proficiency in using industry-specific software, such as WindPRO or OpenWind, for wind farm layout design and energy yield analysis.
- Experience in running CFD based flow modelling analysis desirable. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance with regulations and standards.
- Knowledge of environmental impact assessment processes and environmental regulations related to wind energy projects.
- Good knowledge of data analytics tools such as excel based macros and python.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Familiar with Wind Engineering standards and guidelines - IS, IEC and Measnet.
