We are looking for a skilled Tableau/MySQL Developer to join our team and help manage and develop Tableau dashboards, data pipelines, and reporting solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Tableau dashboard development, SQL queries, and database management (particularly MySQL), as well as a strong ability to analyze and visualize data to support business decision-making.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing customer dashboards, ensuring the accuracy of data, resolving issues with reports and systems, and providing training and support to both internal teams and customers. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that data and insights are easily accessible and actionable.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Analysis and Reporting

• Develop, maintain, and deliver monthly reports for customers, summarizing key metrics related to revenue, network performance, and other relevant KPIs.
• Generate ad-hoc reports as required by internal teams, management, and clients (e.g., revenue reports, aged debtors, postpaid bill runs).
• Assist in the creation of custom reports (e.g., recharge card revenue, user payments) based on client-specific requirements and business logic.
• Prepare and present reports summarizing analytical results and insights for business stakeholders.

2. Tableau Dashboard Development & Maintenance

• Design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards for customers and internal stakeholders, ensuring they are visually appealing, user-friendly, and aligned with business requirements.
• Perform manual dashboard refreshes as required to ensure data accuracy and timeliness.
• Implement enhancements and updates to existing dashboards, including new graphs, UI changes, and sections, based on customer feedback and evolving business needs.
• Customize Tableau visualizations to meet specific business requirements, utilizing Tableau features such as calculated fields, table calculations, filters, and actions.
• Monitor and resolve any discrepancies or issues in Tableau dashboards and underlying data sources.

3. Database Management & SQL Development

• Manage and maintain MySQL databases, ensuring data integrity, efficient queries, and timely updates.
• Perform data cleansing, validation, and transformation to ensure that the data used in Tableau reports is accurate, consistent, and reliable.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries for reporting, data extraction, and data transformation.
• Monitor and manage data source connections, ensuring smooth data flow between Tableau and MySQL databases.

4. System Maintenance & Administration

• Ensure the smooth functioning of the AWS Tableau instance, including tasks such as adding storage blocks and managing system performance.
• Perform system administration tasks in Tableau, such as setting up user access, managing roles, implementing multi-factor authentication (MFA), and performing upgrades as required.
• Regularly monitor the health of Tableau and database systems to identify and resolve issues proactively.

6. Coordination and Collaboration

• Collaborate with internal teams, and customers to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions for improving system performance and functionality.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and customer teams to support performance, resolve issues, and enhance reporting.
• Provide technical support and training to customers, ensuring they understand how to use Tableau dashboards effectively.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer and training support to new team members and internal trainees.

7. Ad-Hoc Tasks and Support

• Handle ad-hoc tasks and requests, including but not limited to setting up reports, implementing custom features, and addressing urgent data issues.
• Assist in data management and reporting tasks as directed by management or client needs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in Tableau development, MySQL database management, or related fields.
• Proven experience in SQL development, writing complex queries, and optimizing database performance.
• Expertise in designing and developing interactive Tableau dashboards with a focus on data visualization best practices.
• Experience with data transformation and data cleansing techniques to ensure accurate reporting.
• Familiarity with AWS Tableau instance management, including storage management, user roles, and system performance monitoring.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to database connectivity, system performance, and data discrepancies in Tableau.
• Strong analytical skills with an ability to transform raw data into meaningful insights.
• Experience with training and knowledge sharing in a technical environment.
