Staff Design Engineer

Location: This position will be based in Juinagar, Navi Mumbai

Role and Responsibilities:

• Design of assembly modules for our current and future products
• Utilize engineering knowledge to provide solutions to challenging design problems
• Source off the shelf components to be used in technical designs
• Create and manage Solid works CAD models, drawings and assemblies
• Control drawing and model releases through an ECN process
• Manage and coordinate with other engineers, investigate and undertake analysis to improve the overall scope of the project.
• Work with a cross-functional development team to relay design and engineering intent
• lead a team of engineers and plan effectively to ensure projects are delivered on time
• Work with contract manufacturing partners through the DFM, DFS and DFR process to bring products from prototype to production
• Collaborate and work cross functionally with the global engineering team

Skills and Experience:

• B.Tech/BE/MS in Mechanical Engineering with 3-5 years related work experience
• CAD Modeling experience (Solidworks preferred)
• Good understanding of Mechanical Design Code and Standards
• Solid understanding of engineering principles, such as fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, materials engineering
• Basic understanding of sheet metal, machining and welding techniques
• Exposure to Structural and Vibration Analysis
• Ability to understand existing mechanisms and visualize improvements
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Experience of managing a small team of design engineers a plus.
