AppSierra Solutions - WAS Administrator/Consultant (3-7 yrs)

Job Overview :

As a WAS Admin Consultant, you will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and maintenance of WebSphere Portal Server and WebSphere Application Server environments.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability, performance, and security of our applications.

Key Responsibilities :

- Administer and maintain WebSphere Portal Server and WebSphere Application Server environments.

- Configure and manage HTTP Servers to optimize performance and security.

- Implement and maintain LDAP for user authentication and directory services.

- Develop and execute shell scripts or Python scripts for automation and process improvement.

- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

- Collaborate with development teams to deploy applications and manage environments.

- Conduct system upgrades, patches, and backups to ensure system integrity.

- Provide technical support and documentation to team members and stakeholders.

Key Skills :

- Strong knowledge of HTTP Server configuration and management.

- Experience with LDAP for user management and authentication.

- Proficiency in scripting languages, including shell scripting and Python.

- Excellent troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and communicate technical concepts clearly.

- Familiarity with performance tuning and monitoring tools.
