BY WMS Technical Specialist

Job Summary:
The WMS Technical Specialist will be responsible for the implementation, support, and ongoing management of our Warehouse Management System (WMS). This role requires a combination of technical expertise and operational knowledge in warehouse processes to ensure the WMS is functioning optimally and effectively supporting our logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities:
WMS Implementation and Configuration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement WMS solutions according to business requirements.
Configure WMS to meet operational needs, including setting up workflows, inventory management rules, and user access.

System Support and Maintenance:
Provide technical support for WMS users, troubleshooting and resolving system issues promptly.
Perform regular system maintenance, updates, and backup procedures to ensure data integrity and system availability.

Integration Management:
Work with IT and third-party vendors to integrate WMS with other enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, TMS).
Manage data flows between systems and ensure accurate data synchronization.

User Training and Documentation:
Develop and deliver training programs for end users on WMS functionalities and best practices.
Create and maintain user manuals, technical documentation, and training materials.

Process Improvement:
Analyze current warehouse processes and identify areas for efficiency improvements through WMS capabilities.
Propose and implement enhancements to WMS functionalities that support operational excellence.

Reporting and Analytics:
Generate and analyze reports on inventory levels, order fulfillment rates, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
Utilize analytical tools to provide insights and recommendations for optimizing warehouse operations.

Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in WMS implementation, support, or administration.
Strong technical skills in WMS software, database management, and data analysis.
Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to train and support users at all levels.
Experience with [specific WMS software, if applicable, e.g., SAP WM, Manhattan Associates, Oracle, etc.].
Preferred Skills:
Certifications in related areas (e.g., WMS, Six Sigma, Lean).
Experience with integration tools or middleware.
Knowledge of programming/scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python) is a plus.
