Key skills for the job
1) Coordinating & Consolidating the budgeting & reporting process:
- Co-ordination and support development of organisation's strategic plans (immediate and long term) for Product-line specific strategies, expansion plans, key initiatives.
- Finalisation of annual budgets, quarterly / monthly LE - Interface between all BUs & senior management, review with CFO and present before the Board for approval.
- Making a comparative analysis of previous years actual Vs current month's / year's budget Vs current month actual expenses.
- Preparation of various simulation models and propose the way forward / actions to the CMD in driving right decisions.
2) Business Performance Analysis:
- Timely reporting of monthly MIS including Division-wise product profitability; to be reviewed with MD and presented for discussions with Management Committee
- Pro-active monitoring of financial target delivery by functions on monthly basis. Any variations from the budgets/LE and/or last year performance analyzed thoroughly and presented before the senior management team and facilitating discussions to decide on prompt corrective action, if any. Monitor such actions taken for results and review with the MD
3) Product Profitability Analysis:
- Evaluate & analyze the profitability of products and present for review with MD and the Board
- Providing decision support to the management to take important decisions of Vol/Price/Mix, Make/Buy, Kit/Non-Kit using techniques like what-if analysis, sensitivity analysis, Scenario
4) Business Partnering:
- Evaluate New Projects for Financial feasibility - costing, pricing, tax and tracking performance and provide the financial clarity to take effective future decisions.
- Partner with Corporate Affairs group to perform bench marking exercises with the industry and highlight areas of improvement in Business performance and efficiency with actions.
5) Finalization of Financial Statements & Reporting:
- Analyze the financial statements to see how the company looks to the Management and other stakeholders and propose corrective actions that can be taken to minimize and solve financial problems.
- Identify risks areas and propose ways and means to efficiently utilize assets and earn greater returns.
6) Working Capital & Balance Sheet Management:
- Inventory Ageing with detailed level analysis- close Follow-up with owners for slow moving inventory.
- Receivable monitoring - Credit Exposures, Overdue debts follow- ups, doubtful debts & provisions.
- Scrutiny of Loans & Advances - ageing analysis, timely recoveries, and doubtful advances.
- Payables & Provisions - ageing analysis, overdue payments monitoring.
- Conduct Ratio Analysis and constantly monitor progress of Financial metrics and variance analysis
