1. Commercial Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and implement commercial strategies in alignment with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Lead the pricing, sales forecasting, and business planning processes.
- Identify new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and potential markets to expand the company's footprint.
- Export and Import compliances
- Monitoring and controlling commercial activities at plant relating to material receiving, material storage, dispatch, invoicing and exports.
- Attending and resolving all commercial issues related to plant.
2. Financial & Profitability Management:
- Working capital management
- Exercise Control on Inventory which includes RM, PM and consumables
- Analyze financial data and KPIs to track performance against the commercial targets.
- Ensure profit margins are optimized by managing costs and maximizing sales opportunities.
- Collaborate with finance teams to set budgets, monitor cash flow, and forecast revenue.
- Provide commercial finance support and analysis that drives sound business decisions in delivering profitable growth
3. Sales & Marketing Coordination:
- Supervise the sales team and provide guidance to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Develop sales strategies, including key account management and new client acquisition.
- Oversee marketing efforts to ensure alignment with the commercial strategy.
4. Procurement & Supplier Management:
- Purchase of RM, consumables and vendor negotiation
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers, vendors, and distributors to secure the best terms.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure a reliable supply chain.
- Optimize procurement processes to achieve cost savings and maintain high-quality standards.
5. Contract Management & Compliance:
- Oversee contract negotiations, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and company requirements.
- Manage risks associated with commercial contracts and agreements.
- Statutory compliances
- Export and Import compliances
- Ensure correctness of statutory and internal records of GST during operations and filing GST returns, ITC Reconciliation and follow up
6. Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the commercial team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Set performance targets and ensure the team is aligned with the strategic objectives.
- Conduct regular training and workshops to upskill team members.
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with operations, finance, supply chain, and production teams to ensure smooth execution of commercial activities.
- Provide commercial inputs in product development, innovation, and market analysis.
8. Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and partners.
- Act as a point of contact for resolving major client issues and inquiries.
