ABOUT THE ROLE
- Preparation of AOPs (3-5 Year Strategic Plans) and ABPs (Annual) for the vertical
- Developing and reporting on financial and operational performance metrics and goals
The person will work with business partners on delivering reporting and financial analysis. Partner closely with controlling team and other functional stakeholders to understand closing month actuals, ensure latest actuals are basis forecasting/planning assumptions.
- Analyse financial data, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other financial reports to identify trends, variances, and potential opportunities or issues.
- Assist in the preparation of the sales and operating plans, weekly and monthly reporting.
- Generate and distribute financial reports to relevant stakeholders, summarizing financial performance and key metrics.
- Perform monthly price/mix variance, identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Assisting in cash flow and working capital analysis
- Preparation and analysis of Monthly Financials
- Preparation of P&L and Cash Flow Statements
- Track Key KPIs, Preparation of Monthly and Quarterly forecasts
- Preparation of forecasted financials. Avoid surprises by predicting red flags on business performance
- Weekly cash flow planning and alignment with the business heads
- Conducting monthly reviews with Restaurant teams to discuss various MIS, Scorecards, identifying issues and corresponding actions plans
- Business Partnering - Ensuring the Finance team works along with the Restaurant Head and Team on all financial aspects
- Including and not limited to regular analysis of various platforms available
- Building key business insights for the team to action on
- Act as a controller for CAPEX, control cash flows
- Assisting management in taking capital budgeting decisions
- Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards
- Support in S&OP process for restaurants, Monthly Financial closures
- Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Monitoring regular accounting by Outsourced Accounting Team
- Support in ERP Upgradation and integration and Annual Financial closures
- Audits & Controls: Setting up and improving processes and controls fit for the purpose
- Handling Internal controls for the division/company
- Support in Statutory Audit for the division/company
- Support in Due Diligence exercises for the division/company
- Other Adhoc requirements which may come up from time to time.
Experience
- Qualified CA or MBA Finance
- 5 to 7 years' experience in a FP&A role
- Alco Bev and QSR industry would be an added advantage
- Proven ability to work successfully in an ambiguous environment
- Ability to manage tight deadlines
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Functional Skills
- Experience in the application of accounting principles to periodic financial reporting, planning and forecasting
- Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills
- Prior experience in setting up Controls would be a bonus
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Proven success building relationships with partners and being able to successfully influence and negotiate in complex situations.
- Proven ability to plan and manage projects of varying size and scope
- Work across boundaries, ensure Bira 91 Values are adhered
- Proven success in driving financial rigor within a cross functional team
- Good Analytical & Understanding of costing concepts
- Excellent negotiation skills with strong in Decision Making
Technical Skills
- Strong working knowledge SAP esp. in FICO; MM; SD Modules
- Attention to detail and highly organized.
- Should have expertise in use of MS Excel, MS Access, PowerPoint and Word.
Analytical Ability - Should have a structured thinking process in identifying solutions. Ability to gather, interpret & evaluate data to identify patterns, trends & insights. Can suggest solutions based on data analysis to solve business problems.
