Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial operations of our FMCG company. The CFO will play a key role in driving the company's financial strategy, overseeing financial planning and analysis, managing corporate finance activities, and ensuring robust financial controls and compliance. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial management within the FMCG sector and a strong ability to collaborate with senior leadership to guide the company's growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy & Leadership:
- Develop and execute the company's financial strategy, aligning it with overall business objectives and growth plans.
- Provide visionary leadership in managing the financial health of the organization, focusing on maximizing profitability, managing costs, and optimizing cash flow.
- Serve as a key advisor to the CEO and executive team on financial decision-making, business operations, and long-term financial planning.
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Oversee the preparation and accuracy of all financial statements, reports, and forecasts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide timely and actionable financial analysis to support business decisions, performance tracking, and strategic planning.
- Monitor key financial metrics and KPIs to assess business performance and recommend improvements.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to create realistic and achievable financial goals.
- Conduct regular financial forecasting to ensure alignment with market conditions, operational strategies, and investment requirements.
- Evaluate the financial viability of business projects, expansion plans, and investment opportunities.
Cash Flow & Capital Management:
- Oversee cash flow management, ensuring liquidity and operational efficiency while optimizing working capital.
- Manage capital structure, debt management, and financing activities to support the company's strategic objectives.
- Identify and implement strategies to improve financial processes, cost control measures, and working capital management.
Risk Management & Compliance:
- Ensure the company complies with all relevant tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements in each market it operates in.
- Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks, including currency fluctuations, credit risks, and market volatility.
- Manage external audits and work closely with regulatory bodies, ensuring adherence to all legal and financial reporting obligations.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
- Build and maintain an effective finance department structure, ensuring team members are well-equipped to meet financial objectives and contribute to business success.
Investor Relations & Fundraising:
- Manage relationships with investors, financial institutions, and stakeholders to ensure access to necessary funding and capital resources.
- Oversee the preparation of investor presentations, reports, and other communications to ensure transparency and confidence in the company's financial health.
- Lead fundraising efforts when required, including debt and equity financing.
Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)
- Evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures to drive business expansion and profitability.
- Oversee due diligence processes, financial modeling, and integration of acquired businesses to ensure smooth transitions and alignment with company goals.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
- CA / CFA
Experience:
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in financial management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (CFO, Finance Director) within the FMCG or consumer goods sector.
- Proven track record of success in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, and managing large-scale financial operations in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in multi-market environments, with an understanding of the global FMCG sector.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP).
- Expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
Excellent leadership and people management skills, with a strong ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with senior leadership, external partners, and stakeholders.
