InfoTech_Server Administrator (Wintel Admin) - Contract

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Server Administrator responsible for managing and maintaining Windows Server environments, VMware, Nutanix infrastructure, and Active Directory services. The ideal candidate should have strong troubleshooting skills, a proactive approach to system administration, and a solid understanding of GPO, file servers, and virtualization technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Windows Server Administration: Install, configure, manage, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments.
• Virtualization Management: Administer and maintain VMware vSphere, Nutanix AHV, and ensure optimal performance.
• Active Directory & GPO: Manage and optimize Active Directory, Group Policies, and user authentication processes.
• File Server Management: Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot file servers, permissions, and storage quotas.
• Backup & Recovery: Ensure regular backups and implement disaster recovery procedures.
• Patch Management: Apply security patches, updates, and service packs for Windows servers.
• Monitoring & Performance Tuning: Use monitoring tools to track system performance and troubleshoot bottlenecks.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure security best practices, access control policies, and compliance with industry standards.
• Incident Resolution: Provide expert troubleshooting for server-related issues, minimizing downtime.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, incidents, and best practices.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience: 8-9 Years.
• Operating Systems: Strong expertise in Windows Server administration.
• Virtualization: Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, Nutanix AHV, and Hyper-V.
• Directory Services: Proficiency in managing Active Directory, GPO, DNS, and DHCP.
• File & Storage Management: Experience in managing file servers, DFS, NTFS permissions, and storage solutions.
• Troubleshooting: Excellent problem-solving skills for server, network, and virtualization issues.
• Security & Compliance: Knowledge of Windows security best practices, patching, and endpoint protection.
• Scripting & Automation (Preferred): PowerShell scripting for automation and administrative tasks.
• Backup & Disaster Recovery: Familiarity with backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault, or similar).
• Monitoring Tools: Experience with monitoring tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, or Nagios.

Preferred Certifications (a plus, but not mandatory):

• Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administrator (MCSA, MCSE)
• VMware Certified: VCP (VMware Certified Professional)
• Nutanix Certified: NCP
