Quality Assurance Analyst

As a QA Analyst, reporting to the Development Team Lead, you will play a vital role in testing our software to ensure it meets customer requirements and adheres to our quality standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze customer requirements, review design specifications, and contribute to product review meetings with feedback and suggestions.
• Build and maintain test environments and test data.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans.
• Accurately document test results and maintain logs for all tests performed.
• Conduct various types of testing: functional, regression, integration, performance, and usability.
• Perform backend testing, including executing SQL queries and inspecting data.
• Create and execute automation scripts.
• Generate detailed defect reports and track issues until resolution.
• Assist developers in diagnosing and replicating defects.
• Provide regular updates to the QA Lead on assigned tasks. Providing regular status reports on testing progress and quality metrics to stakeholders.
• Mentor junior team members, offering guidance and acting as a resource on specific product areas. Guiding and mentoring junior QA team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.
• Follow established QA processes and contribute to the continuous improvement of quality standards
• Contributing to the automation framework and expanding automated test coverage where applicable.
• Participating in process improvement initiatives, advocating for best practices in QA, and staying updated on industry trends and tools.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong understanding of QA methodologies and testing practices within the software development lifecycle.
• Familiarity with automated testing tools.
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience: 4+ years of software testing experience.
• Education: Bachelor s degree or diploma in Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of financial ERP systems or accounting is a plus (accounting certifications are preferred).
• Experience in Agile environments and working in fast-paced teams.
