- Process orders for production and customer submittal drawing, consistent with Valmont standard practices.
- Ensure drawings are fully checked for accuracy, completeness and adherences to Valmont drafting and design standards before issue for approval
- Maintain required productivity output in accordance with departmental priorities
- Maintain required order accuracy in accordance with departmental priorities
- Maintain a cooperative and professional attitude in dealing with all departments of the company
- Maintain an awareness of current Drafting policies and procedures
- Identify, recommend and help implement changes to standard drafting procedures and systems
- Handle special assignments as requested by Division Drafting Manager/Drafting Supervisor
- When necessary, provide assistance to all departments in the interpretation of customer specification, manufacturing capabilities or drafting procedures
- Provide technical or drafting support of any department, for any project, which will enhance product or company interest.
Qualifications / Functional Competencies
- Bachelor Engineering (Civil & Mechanical) Degree
- Advanced recent knowledge in the following Autodesk software:
- Sound skills and knowledge in the following IT systems:
- Proficient in top-down/skeletal modelling.
- Technical skills in computer aided drafting and basic understanding of mathematics.
- Ability to add value to a multi-disciplinary team and to develop and support teamwork.
- Demonstrated ability and initiative in identification and development of continuous improvement for new and existing processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including demonstrated ability to work successfully with other team members.
- Must be able to work in any shift (6.00am-3.00pm shift or any other shift as per business requirement).
