POSITION: SR. FOOD TECHNOLOGIST (Quality Control & Manufacturing) REPORTING TO: DIRECTOR

Position Overview: SR. FOOD TECHNOLOGIST (Quality Control & Manufacturing)
This position requires hands on experience of quality control in Food Industry and should have handled Food Manufacturing shop floor operations. Provide guidance and support in improvement of Quality Control Practices and improvement of Manufacturing Processes at clients factory.

JOB DESCRIPTIONSY
FUNCTION: QC-Manufacturing Projects
ROLE: SR. FOOD TECHNOLOGIST (QC & Manufacturing)
QUALIFICATION:
Masters or bachelors degree in food Technology. MBA in Operations Management and production Management will be an advantage. Certified Lead auditor of ISO 22000 or FSSC 22000 standards.
EXPERIENCE:

1. Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in Quality Control, Manufacturing in a FMCG/Food Industry.
2. Strong knowledge of food manufacturing processes, quality standards & regulatory requirements.
3. At least 4-5 years of leadership experience in a food manufacturing company.
4. Knowledge of food manufacturing operations and quality assurance programs
5. Knowledge of food safety, product labeling, and nutrition science & regulations
6. Should have Implemented food safety and quality management systems
7. Ability to design and conduct quality and food safety audits
8. Knowledge of controlling Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE), and production costs is essential.
9. Exposure to & experience in following one or more Food Safety Standard requirements viz. ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, BRCGS, or AIB is essential. Practical implementation of HACCP system is essential.
10. Experience in the development of new products, including recipe development, sourcing suppliers will be an added advantage
11. Proficiency in computer software applications such as ERP systems, MS Office Suite, and Quality Control module and/or product development module in ERP software is preferable.
12. Strong analytical, research skills
13. Leadership quality, the ability to work in a team and to maintain positivity is a must.
14. Should have ability to work with top management team members of our clients.
    
    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    
15. Developing and reviewing quality and food safety policies
16. Addressing quality requirements for exports of goods to US & others countries
17. Establish Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodology (Pareto Analysis), plan & execute CAPA.
18. Studying processes to reduce costs and improve yield
19. Leading product innovation & renovation, including recipe development, sourcing suppliers, and selecting modern equipment. Optimizing BOM.
20. Seeking ways to improve and optimize processes, products, and services
21. Planning, executing, and evaluating food manufacturing projects
22. Apply technical principles to problem-solving in project management
23. Hands on experience in selection, installation and commissioning of process equipment
24. Find food process engineering solutions
25. Institutionalize change management system related to product process changes, process specification changes, overprinting changes, RM, PM, SFG & FG specification changes etc. before actual commercial implementation.
26. New technology adoption: Leading research to adopt new technology and equipment
27. Impart periodic training in collaboration with clients HR team to all relevant employees in operations value chain on Food Safety, GMP, GHP, process control, ISO 22000

REPORTS & MEETINGS
1. Prepare daily, weekly monthly reports.
2. Prepare MIS report for various ongoing projects
3. Participate in the following meetings

• Daily standing meeting
• Project meetings
• Monthly Performance Review Meeting

JOB LOCATION: Pune
CLIENT SITE VISITS: Required involving travel to various locations
JOB: Permanent
SALARY PACKAGE:
CTC per Annum: Rs. 8 Lacs to 10 Lacs
