What the role looks like
You will be responsible for the community management on all assigned Social Media channels. This includes both inbound social media as well as active participation in relevant online discussions, interaction with the content and accounts of clients, collaboration with influencers and proactive engagement with the public. The focus of this role lies on fostering, growing, and nurturing online communities across various social media platforms with the goal to ensure brand integrity, encourage engagement, and strengthen relationships with community members while driving strategic growth and brand loyalty. On a secondary level this role supports the tasks of the Social Media Strategist and Content Creator, particularly in content creation and management.


Requirements
Education & Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Social Media, Digital Marketing, Communications or a similar field
Work Experience
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in social media, specifically Community Management
Job-Specific Skills
  • Fluency in English both written and spoken (Any other language is a plus)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen sense of empathy and diplomacy.
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices
  • Good organisational and excellent time management skills
  • Adaptable and quick to pivot in fast-moving, ever-changing social environments
  • Self-starter mentality, independent, pro-active workstyle
  • Photography, Videography and Graphic Design knowledge is desired
  • Experience with Social Media Management tool such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Amplify, etc. is a plus
  • Good people skills and friendly demeanour
  • Optimistic, resilient and patient character, ideally paired with quick-wittedness and a fine sense of humour
Your Main Tasks
  • Community management for all assigned social media channels (inbound social media as well as pro-active interaction with content and accounts of interest).
  • Daily social media monitoring regular trend mapping. Develop innovative approaches to boost brand visibility and enhance audience engagement.
  • Respond to comments, direct messages, and mentions in a timely and thoughtful manner, adhering to brand guidelines and tone of voice.
  • Foster discussions, initiate meaningful conversations, and encourage user-generated content (UGC).
  • Report critical issues or feedback to the appropriate focal internal points and take appropriate and agreed actions to resolve the situation.
  • Build trust and rapport with the community by showing empathy, authenticity, and appreciation for user contributions. Promote user-generated content and celebrate community members successes when appropriate.
  • Identify and collaborate with key influencers and brand advocates within the community.
  • Monitor and track engagement, sentiment, and other key community metrics. Provide regular reports on community insights, engagement trends, and areas for improvement.
  • Support crisis communication or negative situations with professionalism and a solutions-focused approach.
  • Secondary task: Content Creation, Curation and Publishing. While Community Management is the clear focus area, the Community Specialist supports the group in all relevant areas of Content Management.
  • Support the Social Media Strategist with the wider social media operations. Additional tasks to in social media can be requested on an on-demand basis.
