Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior PHP Developer with 8-10 years of expertise, specializing in Laravel and CodeIgniter frameworks, to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing scalable web applications, a deep understanding of modern PHP practices, and experience with backend architecture. As a senior developer, you will play a key role in defining our technical direction, mentoring junior developers, and leading complex projects.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain complex web applications using PHP frameworks, primarily Laravel and CodeIgniter.
Architect and build scalable backend solutions that meet performance and reliability standards.
Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and stakeholders to define application requirements.
Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other developers.
Troubleshoot and resolve performance, security, and scalability issues in applications.
Optimize application functionality for high traffic and load.
Maintain and improve existing applications, ensuring best coding practices, testing, and quality assurance.
Mentor junior and mid-level developers, helping them grow in technical skills and understanding.

Required Skills & Experience

8-10 years of experience in PHP development, with a focus on Laravel and CodeIgniter frameworks.
Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), MVC architecture, and design patterns. Extensive experience working with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
Proficiency with SQL, NoSQL, and database management (MySQL/PostgreSQL/MongoDB) and familiarity with database optimization.
Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3, and experience with front-end frameworks (e.g., Vue.js, React is a plus).
Proficiency with version control systems (Git) and knowledge of CI/CD tools.
Familiarity with caching, session management, and performance optimization techniques.
Experience in unit testing and familiarity with PHP testing frameworks like PHPUnit.
Solid understanding of web security practices and knowledge of data protection measures.
