Job Description
- We are looking for a Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality
- QA engineer responsibilities include designing and implementing tests and debugging
- You will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics
- The QA technician role is essential to our company's product development process
- Our ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting tests before product launches to ensure the smooth running of the software and for meeting client needs while being cost-effective
- We'd like to meet you if you have an engineering background and enjoy providing end-to-end solutions to software quality problems
- Ultimately, you should monitor all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards
- Analyse the project requirements
- Assist in providing Test Effort Estimation for the project
- Support in delivering test plans for the project
- Perform Manual Testing for new releases, work along with the development team and business team to deliver requirements with good quality
- Co-ordinate QA activities for a team and allocated projects
- Understand the requirements and get clarifications from the client if needed
- Guide team members on the testing process in any assigned project
- Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management
- Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements, isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes
- Mentoring and coaching team members
- Proven work experience in software quality assurance
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and cases
- Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
- Expertise in handling automated testing tools
- Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting
- Knowledge of working in an Agile/ Scrum development process
- Experience with performance and security testing is a plus
