Job Overview:

The Manager - PPMC is responsible for managing production planning, inventory control, and material procurement to ensure seamless manufacturing operations. This role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, optimizing resource utilization, and ensuring timely delivery of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods while adhering to quality and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Planning:
• Develop and implement production schedules to meet manufacturing targets and customer demands.
• Ensure alignment of production plans with resource availability, including manpower, equipment, and materials.
2. Material Requirement Planning (MRP):
• Analyze production needs and forecast material requirements to avoid shortages or excess inventory.
• Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials, APIs, excipients, and packaging materials.
3. Inventory Management:
• Monitor and control inventory levels to optimize storage costs and prevent stockouts.
• Implement inventory control measures to ensure accuracy and compliance with GMP guidelines.
4. Supplier Coordination:
• Work closely with sourcing teams to ensure material quality, delivery timelines, and cost optimization.
• Address supplier-related issues and develop contingency plans for supply disruptions.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration:
• Coordinate with manufacturing, quality assurance, and R&D teams to align production and material planning with organizational goals.
• Facilitate communication between departments to resolve bottlenecks and ensure smooth operations.
6. Compliance and Documentation:
• Ensure all planning and material control processes comply with regulatory and quality standards (e.g., GMP, FDA).
• Maintain accurate records of production schedules, inventory data, and material usage for audits and inspections.
7. Risk Management:
• Identify potential risks in production and material planning and develop mitigation strategies.
• Monitor market trends and anticipate challenges related to raw material availability and costs.
8. Continuous Improvement:
• Implement best practices to enhance production efficiency, reduce lead times, and optimize material utilization.
• Utilize data analytics and performance metrics to improve planning processes and decision-making.
9. Team Leadership:
• Lead and mentor the PPMC team to ensure high performance and adherence to organizational objectives.
• Provide training and support to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.

• Strong understanding of supply chain processes and material management in pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Bachelors or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Material Management, Pharmacy, or a related field.
• Experience:
• 10-15 years of experience in production planning and material control within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Proven track record of managing PPMC operations in a regulated manufacturing environment.
