Job Title: Assistant Civil Engineer

Position Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Assistant Civil Engineer with 5 to 10 years of progressive experience in the planning, and execution of civil engineering projects. The successful candidate will contribute to the effective delivery of infrastructure and construction projects by supporting engineering, site supervision, coordination with stakeholders, and adherence to technical standards and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the planning, and execution of infrastructure projects, including roads, buildings,
  drainage systems, water supply, and utility networks.
• Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation in compliance with relevant codes and standards.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor construction progress, quality control, and safety compliance.
• Support project cost estimation, quantity take-offs, and preparation of Bill of Quantities (BOQs).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, contractors, consultants, and government authorities.
• Provide technical support to senior engineers and assist in resolving site-related issues. Supervise and mentor junior engineers and drafting personnel.
• Ensure timely documentation and reporting on project status, risks, and resource requirements.
• Assist in contract administration, tender processes, and procurement activities
  

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in civil engineering design, construction, and project execution.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Project, and other relevant engineering software.
• Strong understanding of construction standards, local regulations, and applicable design codes(e.g., IS, IRC, ACI).
• Demonstrated ability to manage technical aspects of construction activities and coordinate with on-site teams.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional certification (e.g., Chartered Engineer, PE, or equivalent).
• Experience in working on government/public sector infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with contract management, quality assurance protocols, and environmental compliance.
