Job Description: Six Sigma Quality Manager

Role Overview:

The Six Sigma Quality Manager will be responsible for driving quality improvement initiatives, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and implementing Six Sigma methodologies across the manufacturing processes. The role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and expertise in quality management systems to enhance product excellence and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Management:

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance systems and processes.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with company and industry standards (ISO, FSC, etc.).
• Collaborate with production teams to establish quality benchmarks and ensure adherence.

Six Sigma Implementation:

• Lead Six Sigma projects to improve process efficiency and product quality.
• Train and mentor employees on Six Sigma tools and methodologies.
• Analyze data to identify root causes of defects and implement corrective actions.

Process Improvement:

• Monitor and optimize production processes to reduce waste and improve productivity.
• Work with cross-functional teams to design and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Customer Focus:

• Address customer feedback and complaints to identify improvement opportunities.
• Ensure products meet customer requirements in terms of quality, finish, and functionality.

Team Leadership:

• Lead and manage the quality control team, ensuring their development and performance.
• Foster a culture of quality consciousness throughout the organization.

Compliance and Reporting:

• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and present detailed quality reports to management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
• Six Sigma Black Belt Certification is mandatory.
• Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in quality management, preferably in the furniture or manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of quality standards (ISO 9001, FSC, etc.) and process improvement tools.

Skills Required:

• Expertise in Six Sigma methodologies and statistical analysis tools.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Proficiency in quality management software and MS Office tools.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of furniture manufacturing processes, materials, and finishing techniques is a plus.
