Avaloq Development Lead

As a Avaloq Development Lead you will design, develop and improve software, utilizing various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

To be a successful Avaloq Development Lead, you should have experience with:

• Application development experience of 12 years minimum, of which the last 8 years must have been Oracle PL/SQL in banking applications/ products (Avaloq knowledge would be an added advantage) and people management skills. Experience in large IT organization working in a support environment, supporting mission critical complex systems utilizing large number of technologies and heavy reliance on batch processing.

• Avaloq Script / Oracle PL/SQL. Knowledge of UNIX, Agile Central and version control tools. Working knowledge on any banking products. Experience with Avaloq or alternatively in other core banking solutions (e. g. Finacle, T24, BaNCS, etc. )

• Full understanding of Software development lifecycle. Good to have working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Service Now and Agile. Excellent overall knowledge of banking application and in-depth knowledge of several of the functional modules like security trading, order management, settlement, corporate actions, credit, payments etc.

Additional relevant skills given below are highly valued:

• Leadership experience in Private Banking IT delivery programs. Good to have working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Service Now and Agile.

Purpose of the role

Accountabilities

• Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
• Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
• Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
• Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
• Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
