About the role:

The Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer with 3 - 8 years of Experience, you will collaborate closely with Team Leads or Project Managers to Design, Develop and Optimize Electro-Mechanical Systems and Components. This role demands significant experience in both electrical and mechanical engineering, with a strong emphasis on quality, innovation, and efficiency. The candidate should demonstrate a strong working knowledge of Electro-Mechanical Product Development like LV/MV Switchgears & have hands-on experience of 3D modelling from the preliminary concept sketch using Solidworks or Inventor and building.

You are expected to:

• Strong experience in designing low voltage switchgear /switchboard (Destruction panel, M-T-M and ATS etc.)
• Strong experience in designing medium voltage switchgear (Meta clad and metal Enclosed, metering unit, Reclosure panels etc.)
• Have strong knowledge on standard like UL, IEEE, IEC and ANSI
• Understanding the electrical SLD ad Three-line diagrams
• Good knowledge on Protection Devices and Controlling Equipments
• Listen, understand, translate internal team and external customers requirements
• Coordinates the work of major projects with responsibility for project objectives, completion dates, and technical specifications.

You will be a great fit if you have:

• B.E. / B. Tech. in Mechanical Engineering with 3 - 8 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in creating detailed design drawings, schematics and specifications.
• Experience in Designing Hybrid Generators, Transformers, Mobile Substation Skids, Solar Power Distribution Panels.
• Experience in designing enclosures, busbars, insulating supports etc.
• Well versed in Design & Heat Dissipation calculations, Structural and Thermal Analysis.
• Shop floor experience preferably with Sheetmetal fabrication units will be an added advantage.
• Lead and participate in the design and development of complex Electro - Mechanical Systems and Components like ACB, MCB, MCCB, Switches and contractors.
• Prepared comprehensive Technical Documentation including design reports, test plans and user manuals.
• Experience in SolidWorks or Inventor (Any one is Mandatory).

We are seeking a highly skilled and autonomous Electrical Design Engineer specializing in Power Systems with 3 -8 years of experience. The ideal candidate will be capable of handling projects independently with minimal knowledge transfer. This role involves leading the design, development and implementation of complex electrical power systems, ensuring high performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.

You are expected to do:

• Manage the complete lifecycle of Electrical Power System projects with minimal supervision. This includes project planning, execution, monitoring, and closing.
• Develop detailed Electrical Designs for Power Systems, including schematics, wiring diagrams and layout drawings. Conduct system modelling and simulations to validate design choices.
• Provide expert-level technical support and troubleshooting for complex electrical issues during design, installation, and operational phases.
• Ensure all designs adhere to relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., IEEE, NEC, IEC). Implement safety measures and conduct risk assessments.
• Prepare comprehensive technical documentation including specifications, reports and user manuals. Communicate effectively with stakeholders and clients.

You will be a great fit if you have:

• 3- 8 years of relevant work experience in LV/MV Switchgears with B.E. / B. Tech in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in designing SLD/3-lines/control schematics, Electrical control panels, MV Switchgear Panels, Substations, MCC and PCC panels etc.
• Sound knowledge in Breaker sizing, Cable sizing, Busbar sizing, cable routing etc.
• Hands on experience with NFPA, NEC, NEMA and UL standards-Preferred.
• Experience in electrical component selection, BOM preparation and control schemes with a focus on working with OEMs.
• Knowledge of Breaker sizing, Cable sizing, Busbar sizing, cable routing and various Protection Schemes.
• Working experience in software like AUTO CAD (Mandatory).
• A valid USA visa is preferred but not mandatory
