As the Team Leader, youre a key member of the Shift Operations Team, reporting to the Shift Manager
You willcontribute to the success of Ball by focusin on OEE of front end Equipment in can making line
You will focus on operation, process and maintenance issues of Process equipment in the front end namely Cupper, Bodymakers trimmers and take corrective actions on time during the shift
You will plan you shift team resources (Front end production associates) and allocate them to focus on Daily operation, Periodic inspection and maintenance, predictive maintenance and corrective Maintenance activities in front end
you will gain mastery in Process troubleshooting and maintenance of Cupper Bodymakers and trimmers, train the team and get the best out of them
You will act as a link between Shift Manager, Area Leader, maintenance supervisor, toolroom, maintenance engineers, Electrical engineers, spareparts stores and co-ordinate all the activities of Maintenance, improvements, TPM, 5s activities in the area
You will strive hard to achieve area KPIs through collaboration, teamwork and planning
You will play key role in size changeovers and achieve best in class changeover time in the front end
Your Key Responsibilities Include
Responsible of Operation of Front end equipment
He will ensure the front end Machines are utilized and operated to their optimum speed and efficiency
Ensure power press Safety checks are completed within first two hours of shift on Both Cuppers and Bodymakers
Ensure actions are taken on time to close the deviation
Ensure daily Operation / Maintenance checks are done in the front-end and corrective actions are taken on time
If any support is needed, ensure to escalate to proper level and close the open items
Ensure the cans produced in front end meet all quality specification
Ensure Quality checks are completed and corrective actions are taken on time for any deviation
Responsible for CCPSliver in Trimmers
Ensure proper procedure / measures are followed in his shift to control the CCP
Educational Requirements
Diploma in Mechanical engineering or Toolroom technology
Previous Experience 4 Years maintenance / repair experience in manufacturing background in a high speed, high volume continuous process plant with hydraulic and Mechanical presses
Exmple automotive ancillary producing body parts
Successful track record in mechanical maintenance
Hands on experience in maintenance / alignment / set up / trouble shooting of Gearboxes, Complex assemblies, Hydraulic Circuits, Heavy duty mechanical power press and similar imported Equipment using specialized tools and tackles
Experience in machine shop, lathe, Milling, surface Grinding
Skills Competencies Required
Must be able to work shifts and able to work extended hours on occasions when required computer literacy and the ability to generate reports
Ability to read, understand and develop engineering drawings
Analytical skills to interpret numerical data
Working knowledge of Health and Safety work practises
