About the Job

We are seeking a talented and experienced Backend-Focused Engineer with Frontend Experience to join our team. While your primary focus will be on building and maintaining robust backend systems, you will also take on the responsibility of crafting and refining our frontend interfaces. This unique role requires a solid backend engineering background combined with practical experience in frontend technologies such as React and Next.js. You'll be an integral part of our innovative financial technology projects, working fully remotely in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

Backend Development:

• Design & Develop : Architect, develop, and maintain high-quality backend systems, RESTful APIs, and database solutions.
• Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate backend services seamlessly with other components of the platform.
• Optimization: Ensure the security, performance, scalability, and maintainability of backend systems.
• Code Quality: Write clean, modular, and well-documented code; participate in code reviews and uphold high coding standards.
• Troubleshooting: Proactively identify and resolve performance issues and bugs in production environments.

Frontend Support:

• Interface Development: Build and maintain responsive and visually appealing user interfaces using React and Next.js, ensuring a smooth user experience.
• Rapid Prototyping: Create prototypes, wireframes, and mockups as needed to quickly test and iterate on new features.
• Collaboration: Work closely with backend systems and design user-centric interfaces.

Qualifications

• Professional Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in backend development with a proven track record in designing and implementing scalable systems.
• Backend Expertise: Proficiency in backend technologies such as Node.js/Express, Python, or similar frameworks. Strong experience with RESTful API development and database management (SQL and/or NoSQL).
• Frontend Skills: Solid working knowledge of JavaScript, with hands-on experience in React and Next.js for building user interfaces.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with financial market data, trading systems, or fintech applications is required.
• Development Tools: Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and agile development methodologies.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining clear and proactive communication.

Bonus Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with frontend performance optimization and responsive design principles.
• Exposure to UI/UX design tools like Figma or Adobe XD.
• An interest in exploring AI/ML integrations.
