Job Description: Resident Nurse

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Resident Nurse to join our team, providing exceptional care and support to children at our childrens home. The ideal candidate should have a deep love for child care, possess strong medical and organizational skills, and be flexible with working hours as timing should not be a constraint.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Child Care and Needs Assessment:
• Identify the medical and general needs of children and act promptly to address them.
2. Health Monitoring and Medical Management:
• Regularly monitor the health and medical conditions of all children.
• Prepare and conduct routine diagnostic checks (e.g., monitor pulse, blood pressure, temperature).
• Administer medicines and injections as prescribed by medical professionals.
3. Medical Visits and Coordination:
• Accompany children to medical tests, hospital OPDs, clinics, and other medical facilities as needed.
• Collaborate with doctors and therapists to provide accurate and timely information on childrens medical care.
4. Emergency Response:
• Provide immediate First Aid and manage medical emergencies with quick and effective action.
• Stay prepared for hospital duty in case of child hospitalization.
5. Documentation and Records Management:
• Maintain comprehensive medical documents, files, and test reports for all children.
• Accurately record health updates in approved formats by the Trust.
6. Child Engagement and Support:
• Offer quality care, love, and affection to children, ensuring a nurturing environment.
7. Collaboration:
• Work closely with the Doctors, Superintendent, Social Workers, Directors, and Management, carrying out assigned tasks effectively.

• Strong listening abilities to understand and empathize with children and team members.
• Confidence and decisiveness in handling responsibilities.
• Stamina to manage shifts and flexible hours.
• Genuine willingness to work for the betterment of society.
• Strong moral values and ethical work standards.

Qualifications:

• Valid nursing certification (GNM, B.Sc Nursing, or equivalent).
• Experience in pediatric or childcare settings is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is an advantage.
