We develop and maintain applications and tools for our customers for data acquisition, data processing, and visualization. We collaborate with development teams in science, mechanical and electrical engineering, physics, and geoscience, to develop innovative firmware and application software.

As part of the software development team, you will produce high-quality documentation. You will be responsible for working independently on information development projects. Moreover, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams in a scrum environment.

As a Senior Technical Writer, you will be responsible for:

• Leading the information development projects with team members and collaborating with cross-functional teams to plan and produce high-quality content.
• Providing input towards building information development strategies on a high level.
• Making documentation more efficient, collaborative, and scalable through tools, workflows, and processes.
• Improving processes by influencing, defining, and leading strategic content initiatives.
• Providing recommendations on technology adoption, processes, and tools to create high quality product documentation and videos.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Have a progressive career trajectory as Senior Technical Writer with 5-15 years of experience writing customer-facing documentation for complex enterprise software products.
• BE an expert proficiency in English language and excellent comprehension skills; reliable editorial skills and the ability to identify opportunities for improvement of product deliverables.
• Be Familiar with technical writing best practices (content reuse, using conditional content, DITA concepts, etc.) and style guides such as the Microsoft Style Guide and Chicago Manual of Style.
• Have experience using DITA/XML-based authoring tools (preferably MadCap Flare, or tools such as Oxygen XML, Arbortext Editor, etc.) and video creation tools (such as Camtasia).
• Have strong project management skills; the ability to estimate the scope of documentation projects, collaborate with stakeholders to create schedules, identify, understand, and fine-tune content for the end user, and work towards deadlines.
• Have understanding of the SDLC, DDLC, the Agile methodology of software development, and how to collaborate in an Agile environment to create high quality product deliverables.
• Have basic understanding of the Oil and Gas domain and its product line(s) and associated industries is a plus.
• Have understanding of how Information Development contributes towards the company s overall business strategy and brings value to its customers.
