Lead - Data Science & Engineering Unit/Senior Lead - Data Science

Manage data science projects & capability across Rural Business (B2C & B2B) and scale delivery of the project builds (team & partner)
Generation of Insights, identifying various patterns and coming up with the data solutions to solve complex business problems
Identifying and understating new data sources, stages of customer journeys, useful insights from the data generated at every step which can help to grow the business and overall customer satisfaction
Leading Cross functional engagements including business, support functions like Risk, Collection, and IT, etc.
Deep understanding of BFSI domain and products along with customer life cycle
Proactive Management/team management/building of skilled teams in AI, ML & Data related programs
Advance analytics and Data Science Subject Matter Experience (algorithmic level)
Creation and maintenance of data models solving for business use cases for offline and online utilization
Leading a team of 3-4 Data Scientists and Analyst

Key Decisions / Dimensions
Data driven decisioning will be a key output & contribution of this role. Major Challenges
In-depth business process understanding and would need to get updated with all the process updates happening.
- Data tracing and understanding is challenging.
- Translating a analytics output into a business terminology.

Required Qualifications and Experience
6+ relevant experience in data science and advance analytics domain, Experience in Risk and Collection analytics is plus
- Strong educational background in mathematical, statistical, data science, Tier-1,2 candidates would be preferred
- Experience in team management and stake holder management
- Ability to interact with people across the functions, gain information and drive projects
- Problem solving, self-starter and able to handle the key projects independently
- Ability to build the high-end data science capabilities within the team to produce the relevant solutions by using cutting edge data science tools and techniques
- Focus on strong understanding of business, consistently producing the revenue generating opportunities
- Quick learner and agile with result- oriented approach
- BFSI domain experience is must
- Ability to manage and mentoring 3-4 junior analyst
