PLSQL Developer

Job Description:

A highly skilled Senior Database Engineer with extensive experience in Oracle PL/SQL and performance tuning.

Key Objectives/Responsibilities of this Role:

• Design, develop, and maintain complex database systems using Oracle PL/SQL.
• Optimize database performance through tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
• Collaborate with application developers to provide database support for software application Performance
• Analyze and resolve database performance issues, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Implement best practices for application development, data security and integrity.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database structures, procedures, and configurations.
• Lead and mentor junior database engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Stay updated with emerging database technologies and trends, recommending improvements to the current architecture

Mandatory Skillset & Tools:

• 3-5 years of experience in database engineering, specifically with Oracle databases.
• Proficiency in PL/SQL programming and performance tuning.
• Strong understanding of database architecture, data modeling, and schema design.
• Experience with tools such as Oracle Enterprise Manager, SQL Developer, and performance analysis tools.
• Familiarity with backup and recovery strategies, as well as high-availability solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Secondary Skill:

• Proficiency with Git for version control and collaboration.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum development processes.
• Understanding of continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and database services.
• Knowledge of tools for automation, monitoring, and logging.
