QA Automation Test Lead

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Automation Test Lead to join our dynamic QA team. As a Test Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You'll achieve this by designing, developing, and implementing robust automation frameworks and test suites, with a focus on API and non-functional testing. You will lead and mentor a team of automation and manual testers, driving best practices and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality software.

Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor a team of automation testers: Provide technical guidance, support, and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Design and develop automation frameworks: Create scalable, maintainable, and robust automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API testing.

Develop and execute automated tests: Write and execute automated tests using appropriate tools and technologies, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.

Maintain and improve existing automation suites: Refactor and optimize existing automation code to enhance stability, performance, and maintainability.

Collaborate with development and product teams: Work closely with developers and product owners to understand requirements, identify test scenarios, and ensure testability.

Analyze test results and report defects: Analyze test results, identify defects, and report them clearly and concisely using bug tracking systems.

Stay up-to-date with the latest testing trends and technologies: Research and evaluate new testing tools and technologies to improve automation efficiency and effectiveness.

Promote best practices and quality standards: Champion quality assurance best practices and coding standards within the team.

Contribute to continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD): Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to enable rapid and reliable software releases.

Qualifications:

5-7 years of experience in software testing with a strong focus on test automation.

Proven experience in leading and mentoring QA teams.

Expertise in designing and developing automation frameworks using Selenium, Appium, or similar tools.

Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript or Python.

Strong experience with API testing tools like RestAssured or Postman.

Hands-on experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).

Solid understanding of non-functional testing concepts and techniques (performance, load, stress, security).

Strong understanding of testing methodologies and best practices.

Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Azure DevOps.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Proficient in SQL for database testing and validation.

Experience with cloud testing platforms (Azure) is a plus.
