Job Role & Responsibilities
Role
EMC Engineer
Technical/ Functional
Prepare the EMC test specification considering different regulations.
Plan and execute EMC tests and measurements using specialized equipment and techniques to assess the electromagnetic emissions and susceptibility of automotive electronic systems and components.
Design and develop electronic systems, circuits, and components with a focus on electromagnetic compatibility. This includes selecting appropriate components, layout design, grounding, shielding, and filtering techniques.
Work with the design engineers and PCB designers to deploy the best design practices in PCB design and eliminate design iterations due to EMI/EMC failures.
Use various analytical methods (LTSpice, SIMetrix, PSpice, Ansys, CST etc.) to estimate the EMI signature beforehand and propose corrective measures proactively.
Analyze test results and identify areas for improvement or optimization.
Shall provide technical guidance on part level and vehicle level EMI/EMC certification tests.
Keep track of global trends in relevant technology, regulations and develop long-term road maps and appropriate work plan.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that EMC requirements are effectively addressed throughout the product development lifecycle
