Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior or Manager level professional to join our Tax Services team. This individual will be responsible for the preparation and review of U.S. Individual Income Tax Returns (Form 1040), ensuring compliance with all applicable tax regulations. The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in tax preparation, with a strong understanding of tax laws, regulations, and IRS guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team responsible for the preparation and review of U.S. individual tax returns (Form 1040), including supporting schedules and other required filings.
• Review complex tax returns for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with federal and state tax laws.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members and ensure adherence to deadlines.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest tax laws, IRS guidance, and relevant industry changes that may impact tax filings.
• Develop and maintain client relationships, providing timely tax planning and advisory services.
• Assist in the resolution of client inquiries and issues related to tax filings.
• Review and interpret IRS notices and communications related to clients tax filings.
• Assist in tax research and preparation of memorandum related to specific tax matters.
• Identify and implement process improvements for enhanced efficiency and accuracy in tax filing operations.
• Support management in the development of tax strategies for clients.
• Assist in the development of client reports, presentations, and tax planning deliverables.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, EA, or other relevant certification is a plus).
• 3.5+ years of experience in tax preparation, with a strong focus on Form 1040 and individual tax compliance (for Senior role).
• 7+ years of experience in tax preparation and review, with management experience (for Manager role).
• Deep knowledge of U.S. federal and state tax laws, tax planning, and IRS guidelines.
• Experience with tax software (e.g., Thomson Reuters, Drake, or similar).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Ability to mentor and develop junior staff, ensuring a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
