The Finance Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the finance department by performing various administrative and financial tasks. This role involves assisting with day-to-day financial operations, maintaining financial records, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and policies. Key Responsibilities : Accounts Payable : Process and verify invoices, expense reports, and payment requests. Prepare and issue payments to vendors and suppliers. Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions. Accounts Receivable : Assist in generating customer invoices and statements. Monitor and follow up on outstanding customer payments. Record and reconcile customer payments. Financial Data Entry : Accurately input financial data into accounting software or spreadsheets. Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records. Bank Reconciliation : Reconcile bank statements with company records. Investigate and resolve discrepancies. Financial Reporting : Assist in preparing financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Provide financial data and reports as requested by management. Expense Tracking : Monitor and record company expenses. Ensure compliance with company expense policies. Budget Support : Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets. Provide data and reports to support budgeting processes. Audit and Compliance : Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits. Ensure adherence to financial regulations and company policies. Administrative Tasks : Perform general administrative duties to support the finance department, such as filing, document organization, and correspondence. Other Duties : Assist with special finance-related projects as assigned by the Finance Manager. Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Previous experience in a finance or accounting role is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
