Business Analyst- CostPoint

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, Advanced degree is a plus.
• Minimum 8 years experience in business management software and applications with progressive technical support experience including system upgrades, planning, design, audits, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. 5+ years of functional experience administering Deltek Costpoint Core modules,
• Strong technical knowledge of Costpoint and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Problem identification, analysis and solving skills with strong problem-solving capabilities, particularly bridging IT and Accounting.
• Ability to communicate complex technical results/scenarios in a clear and concise fashion.
• Exceptional project management skills with ability to effectively collaborate with all levels within the organization.
• Interpret logs, document steps to reproduce software bugs, process problems or other issues which create application errors and act as the technical liaison with software vendors

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the day-to-day support of the Deltek Costpoint, Deltek Time & Expense and Reporting systems including troubleshooting issues, and supporting end users
• Responsible for supporting Costpoint, Deltek Time & Expense (T&E), supporting systems/tools, integrations and driving innovation across the segment
• Participate in understanding and translating business requests and suggesting industry-standard solutions via process, training, and development where appropriate
• Work closely with Finance and IT teams to ensure the successful support of Deltek Costpoint applications
• Assist with user setup, security, and other configurations for Deltek and Costpoint systems/applications. Assist in annual security audits
• Assist in Costpoint upgrades and issue resolution. Submit Deltek support tickets and collaborate with Deltek representatives to identify appropriate bug fixes, patches, and software updates
• Manage interfaces and automated data jobs to ensure efficiency, and lead effort to migrate interfaces to current technologies
• Advocate change control and issue resolution processes, formal release schedules, and release management
• Foster and maintain positive relationships with Business Systems team members and customers across the enterprise inclusive of senior leadership
• Maintain documentation and approvals for configuration updates
• Assess needs for enhancements based on operational needs, integrations with other systems, and workflow functionality

• Familiarity with how to trace a transaction and/or process through a full lifecycle and assess the impact on all affected systems
• Basic understanding of SQL coding for report datasets, including comfort with using query and reporting tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical results/scenarios in a clear and concise fashion
• Submission of Deltek support tickets and follow up to successful resolution
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills and bridging IT and Accounting.
• Familiarity with how to trace a transaction and/or process through a full lifecycle and assess the impact on all affected systems.
• Basic understanding of SQL coding for report datasets, including comfort with using database query tools to assist with writing of such SQL code.
