Lead Data Scientist

About the role:

As a Lead Data Scientist, you will be in charge of creating business impact in the company using ML & Gen AI tools. This will include both hands-on DS projects and guiding a team of data scientists in their projects. Depending on the skills, experience, and preferences of candidates (which may also vary the title), this position could include managerial capacities for DS professionals.

As a Lead Data Scientist, you will:

• Develop, backtest, and implement mathematical/statistical models to make complex credit (and other) decisions.
• Build tools to query, clean, and analyze raw data through databases, and work closely with the R&D team to design a standardized framework to streamline the research process.
• Working cross-functionally with engineering, data, and business teams to ensure the maximum impact of research results.
• Own the entire research lifecycle - including problem formulation, feature engineering, research, implementation, model explainability, and continuous monitoring.
• Led a team of data scientists to maximize their impact on the organization.

What you will need:

• M.Sc. in a quantitative field (PhD. is a big advantage) - Math, CS, Physics, Bio-Informatics, Statistics.
• Demonstrate a strong passion for writing high-quality Python code, ensuring it is modular, scalable, and suitable for end-to-end project execution, with active involvement in planning and hands-on work.
• Extensive knowledge of regression and classification techniques, along with the mathematical principles behind them, and proficiency in SQL.
• In-depth understanding of a wide range of data science methodologies, machine learning algorithms, and statistical techniques.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present clearly, articulate ideas, tell compelling data stories, and navigate complex client situations.
• Provide effective mentorship to team members, leveraging expertise in relevant industry, domain, or functional areas
