Job Summary:

Designs and assists customers in the design of semi-custom Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs), Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) and board level systems.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Architects, codes, synthesizes, simulates, tests and debugs electronic systems.
• Provides estimates for completion of tasks and activities.
• Understands customer s business and technical objectives to determine the optimum tools, devices, and methods the company can offer to assist in the achievement of those objectives.
• Evaluates, recommends, specifies, installs and maintains design tools.
• Develops and documents customer proposals, designs, methodologies and user procedures.
• Writes application notes.
• Serves as the companys technical representative to clients and suppliers.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Mastery knowledge of industry best practices and disciplines. Considered a subject matter expert within the organization and contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques and standards.
• Develops solutions to highly complex and uniquely challenging situations. Assignments require extensive evaluation of alternatives and variables. Expected to make improvements to policies and procedures.
• Works independently toward long-range goals and objectives. Assignments are often self-initiated using independent judgment and discretion. May act as informal team lead and/or coach less experienced team members.
• Serves as consultant to management and/or internal/external spokesperson for the organization on major initiatives related to policies, plans and long-range objectives.
• Actions may impact the organization and its reputation. Effects of erroneous decisions may be long-lasting, influence the future course of the organization and/or require the expenditure of extensive additional resources.

Work Experience:

• Typically 8+ years with bachelors or equivalent.

Education and Certification(s):

• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.

Distinguishing Characteristics:

Design house or R&D

Expertise in Application design

Proficient in both Hardware and Embedded Software design.

Ability to work with diverse MCU suppliers.

Ability to work with analog, digital and power circuits and good understanding of PCB design.

2 wheeler ignition design, Anti-Pinch Power window design, Solar pump inverter design, EV Chargers, Design of Test benches and test equipment.
