System Administrator

Role & responsibilities

System Management:

• Install, configure, and maintain server hardware, software, and applications.
• Manage virtual environments, including VMware, Hyper-V, or equivalent platforms.

Network Administration:

• Manage LAN/WAN, VPN, and firewall configurations.
• Ensure network security and monitor traffic to detect and address vulnerabilities.

Security & Compliance:

• Implement and maintain system security protocols.
• Perform regular system audits, updates, and backups to meet compliance requirements.

Support & Troubleshooting:

• Provide Tier 2/3 support for system-related issues.
• Coordinate with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.

Automation & Optimization:

• Develop scripts for system automation and improved efficiency.
• Recommend and implement improvements to existing systems and processes.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role for 4+ years.
• Proficiency in Operating systems: Windows Server, Linux/Unix.
• Virtualization VMware, Hyper-V, or equivalent.
• Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewalls Scripting: PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
• Familiarity with system monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix).
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
