Backend Developer - Java/Kotlin (4-6 yrs)

Job Summary :

We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer & Tech Lead with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java/Kotlin, significant experience with AWS, and a solid understanding of scalable backend architecture. As a Tech Lead, you will not only be responsible for developing and maintaining our trading platform but also for leading the technical direction of the backend team, ensuring robust and efficient implementations.

Key Responsibilities :

- Backend Development : Design, develop, and maintain server-side components using Java/Kotlin.

- API Integration : Create and manage APIs to connect with various internal and external services.

- Database Management : Develop and optimize database schemas, ensuring data integrity and performance.

- Cloud Services : Utilize AWS services to deploy, manage, and scale applications in a cloud environment.

- Collaboration : Work closely with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality features.

- Monitoring & Debugging : Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions in a timely manner.

Required Skills and Experience :

Education : Degree in Computer Science from IITs, NITs, or other recognized institutions.

- Proficiency in Kotlin : Hands-on experience developing backend systems with Java/Kotlin.

- AWS Expertise : Strong experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and CloudFormation, Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker.

- Database Knowledge : Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL.

- Microservices Architecture : Experience in designing and implementing microservicesbased architectures.

- API Development : Solid experience in developing and consuming RESTful/Grpc APIs.

- Version Control : Proficiency with Git and collaborative workflows (e.g., GitFlow).

- Problem-Solving : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Previous experience in the financial services industry, especially in trading platforms would be a plus
